Boost for dementia unit at the Woodlands

Dementia patients in Rotherham have received a £157 boost, thanks to staff from Lotus Home Care.

Lotus Home Care had a stall at the recent Rotherham Show and held a tombola to raise cash for The Woodlands, a purpose built unit for people aged over 65, who have mental health needs. The unit is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).

Louise Nelson, registered manager of Lotus Home Care’s Rotherham branch, presented the cheque, alongside deputy manager, Lesley McLaughlin-Elliot.

Dianne Graham, RDaSH’s Rotherham Director, said: “I want to thank the women for raising this money for us. Every penny will be spent on our patients.”
