Lotus Home Care Social Club – Cineworld Wakefield

At Lotus Home Care, we know that caring for others starts with looking after our own people. For that reason, our Social Club recently brought teams together for a private screening of Home Alone at Cineworld Wakefield. It was a festive evening filled with laughter, nostalgia, and genuine connection.

As the film played, Kevin McCallister’s antics had everyone smiling. Meanwhile, the emotional ending brought a few tears as he reunited with his mum. Overall, it was the perfect choice for the season and a welcome break from busy working lives.

Importantly, Social Club outings like this play a key role in building strong teams. They allow colleagues to step away from daily pressures and relax together. In addition, they provide people with the opportunity to connect with colleagues they do not work with daily. As a result, relationships are strengthened naturally and enjoyably.

These shared experiences also help improve communication and trust. Over time, they remind us that we are one organisation, not just individual branches or roles.

At Christmas, bringing people together matters even more. Many of our staff continue to support clients throughout the festive period. Often, this means being away from their own families. Therefore, creating moments of togetherness helps maintain morale and shows appreciation for the dedication shown all year.

Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to Cineworld Wakefield for hosting us and making the evening so special. We are proud of the sense of community within Lotus Home Care. Looking ahead, we are excited to plan more Social Club events in 2026, giving our teams even more opportunities to connect, unwind, and make lasting memories.
