At Lotus Home Care, our teams are at the heart of everything we do. Each month, we shine a spotlight on an exciting opportunity within the business – and this month’s Vacancy of the Month is our Care Coordinator role, currently available in Wakefield, Hull, and Barnsley.

This is more than just a scheduling role – our Care Coordinators are the bridge between our carers, service users, and managers. They keep everything running smoothly, ensuring continuity of care and making sure our service users receive the support they need, when they need it.

What does a Care Coordinator do?

As a Care Coordinator, you’ll take on a mix of office-based organisation and people management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Allocating care workers to visits using effective rostering.

  • Matching care staff to service users based on skills, location, and preferences.

  • Taking responsibility for new referrals and care planning.

  • Supporting recruitment, supervision, and training of carers.

  • Assisting with on-call duties on a rota basis, ensuring services run seamlessly.

  • Promoting Lotus Home Care’s positive reputation in the community.

This role is fast-paced and requires strong attention to detail, communication, and IT skills. You’ll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality care while supporting our fantastic frontline teams.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Organised, professional, and confident.

  • A strong communicator with excellent IT and administration skills.

  • Experienced in scheduling or rota management (care sector experience desirable).

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or higher in Health and Social Care (preferred).

  • Flexible, team-focused, and able to handle the demands of a busy office environment.

  • A driver with access to a vehicle (essential due to on-call responsibilities).
